GPS Feature in Device Helps Police Locate Thief

Thanks to a special feature on a stolen electronic device, the rightful owner was able to locate both the device and the burglar who stole it. As a result, the young man that stole the device was detained last week on multiple charges of theft crimes.
The 20-year-old man stole a tablet along with several other items on Christmas Day. Luckily for the owner, he had set up a special feature that helps locate stolen or lost items by means of GPS satellite. Once that feature was activated, the owner located where the stolen item was. Rather than retrieve it himself, however, he called police who entered the suspect's residence.
Inside the home, they found the stolen device as well as items from another burglary case. The young man was arrested and brought to a San Diego County jail. He has already pleaded not guilty to three
felony counts of forgery, grant theft of personal property and first-degree burglary. He is being held on $70,000 bail.
