Fire Captain Arrested for Drug Crimes

A man once revered for his leadership is now being charged with a drug crime.

The 52-year-old city fire captain was taken into custody last week when he walked unknowingly into the middle of a sting operation. Several officers in the city of Los Angeles were working undercover to capture people buying heroin on the street. The captain was one of the people arrested for buying what turned out to be simulated heroin.

If he is found guilty of the all the charges against him, the captain could spend up to three years in jail.
