Suspect Given 3 Years for Involvement in Identity Theft Ring

Authorities in Costa Mesa hope to show that you can try to get away withtheft crimes, but you will eventually be found and charged for them.
Georgia Lichia Su, 41, was given three years for her involvement in an identity theft ring that affected a string of Best Buys in Los Angeles and Orange counties. She pleaded guilty to one felony count of second-degree burglary and one felony count to commit grand theft and forging.
After investigating the case, officers from Orange and Tustin obtained a warrant to search Su's home. It was there that they discovered laser printers, thousands of stolen identities, a credit card making machine and blank credit cards. According to police reports, Su was the identified as the "mastermind in the identity theft ring."
