Police Charge Impersonator with Murder

The Los Angeles District Attorney's office released a statement today that the man called "Clark Rockefeller" in connection to the disappearance of a man 25 years ago.
Authorities arrested Christian Gerhartsreiter and charged him with the murder of 27-year-old John Sohus back in 1985. At that time he was living with Sohus' mother in a wealthy Los Angeles suburb, according to the district attorney's office. Authorities discovered Sohus body in the backyard of his mother's house in 1994. The coroner determined that Sohus died of blunt force trauma to the head. His wife, Linda, is missing as well.
When Gerhartsreiter went before prosecutors in 2009 they told the jury that he moved to the United States in the 1970s as a teenager. He used several aliases to get into exclusive wealthy circles, including associating himself with the Rockefellers. In addition Gerhartsreiter even deluded his own wife into believing that he was an heir to their fortune.
