Officer Facing Multiple Felony Charges

After admitting that he was not shot by an assailant outside the San Fernando Valley high school, an officer now faces multiple felony charges.
When he was arraigned on Wednesday the officer was informed of his charges, including filing a false insurance claim, perjury, filing a false police report and preparing false evidence. In addition he has been charged with a misdemeanor for falsely reporting an emergency for the shooting that took place on Jan. 19.
He was released on a $20,000 bail and could spend five years in a state prison if he is convicted of all the charges against him. His lies were significant enough to scare residents in Woodland Hills and surrounding neighborhoods, shut down schools and trap 9,000 students inside until the "scare" was over. To this day officials with the Los Angeles Police Department are not sure what happened on that day.
