Couple Convicted of 2008 Murder

The couple 34-year-old Jason Runnels and 30-year-old Lucia Martinez have recently been convicted of a murder at a 2008 New Year's Eve party.
It is reported that the victim, 33-year-old Rick Macias, was attending the same as the couple when he ran into Runnels who he had met in prison. The two began to argue and Macias was later reported missing until his body was found in Lake Fulmore.
The jurors in the Riverside County courtroom found the couple guilty of first-degree murder - they face sentencing in early April.
