The man responsible for a fatal hit and run accident was finally brought in by police in Van Nuys last Sunday. Adrian Diamond, 21, struck and killed a 76-year-old Earl Biggs who was crossing the Coldwater Canyon Avenue.
Although Biggs was rushed to a nearby hospital he was later pronounced dead due to his hit and run injuries. Diamond fled the scene of the crime but was finally arrested about six hours later when he decided to drive back to the site of the crash. At that time he was arrested and taken in on charges of suspicion of felony hit and run.
He is currently being held at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles on a $50,000 bail. Little did Diamond know that he may not have faced any charges at all if he had simply remained at the crash site until police arrived.
