Riverside Woman Convicted in Fatal Hit and Run

It is being reported that 38-year-old Patricia Ann Izquieta of Riverside has recently been convicted of a hit and run that left a bicyclist dead.

Izquieta was said to be under the influence of prescription drugs, including methadone and clonazepam, while driving her Saturn SUV IN Newport Beach.

Reports say that she struck 49-year-old Donald Murphy from behind who had been bicycling with his friends. After striking Murphy, Izquieta fled, dragging the bicycle for a mile before she finally stopped in a parking lot.

Murphy later died from injuries related to the accident, including a severe neck injury.

Motor vehicle accidents, including those involving pedestrians and bicycles, are difficult and complex to litigate. For this reason, if you have recently been criminally charged, do not hesitate to contact a Riverside criminal defense lawyer that you can trust.

At the Law Offices of Gregory H. Comings, we have both the knowledge and the desire necessary to help protect your rights. You can be confident that if you seek out legal counsel from a skilled criminal attorney from our firm that we will leave no stone unturned in our pursuit to protect your rights.
