After receiving a tip, Riverside officers responded to the home of 40-year-old Francisco Javier Ponce who allegedly failed to provide proper veterinary care for his horse - resulting in ruptured tendons and finally resulting in the horse being forced to be euthanized.
After responding, officers also found more than a hundred cockfighting roosters, which are illegal in the state of California.
Ponce is now facing felony changes for animal cruelty.
