An interesting case presented itself to officers in French Valley, Calif. when a man drove to a sheriff's station with his girlfriend's body stuffed into the trunk. Jason Richard Budrow, 30, is claiming not guilty to murder in spite of these strange circumstances.
Already a registered sex offender, officers believe that Budrow strangled his girlfriend, 48-year-old Margaret Dalton, before placing her in the trunk of his car. He is being charged with a special circumstance of lying in wait and murder, making him eligible for the death penalty if convicted of these heinous crimes.
Dalton told reporters with the Riverside Press-Enterprise that he killed Dalton because he believed that she was a police informant. He is currently being held without bail.
