Although he isn't proud of his DUI Adam Kennedy, who recently signed with the Seattle Mariners, made a series of phone calls after being released from jail for his DUI arrest. Included on his list of apologies was Jack Zduriencik, general manager of the Mariners, as well as some reporters who usually cover his team.
Kennedy spoke about his feelings regarding the arrest and his immense regret over what happened. While he does not deny his involvement in the DUI Kennedy was quick to state that this is not a good representation of his character. In one statement Kennedy said that, "I feel really terrible about the negative attention that I brought to Jack in Seattle. It's not how I want to make a first impression."
He was arrested around 9:11 p.m. and booked into Orange County Jail by members of the California Highway Patrol. He was released the following morning around 6:30 a.m.
