Although they took the life of an innocent man in March, two men are finally going before a judge to speak about their role in the brutal assault that occurred after a professional baseball game.
Police reports show that the two men, 29 and 30 years old, were spectators at a game in Los Angeles, California when a team was playing another team from San Francisco. Riled up over the results of the game, the two men beat up the victim to the point of death. Even though there were plenty of witnesses to testify about the assault, the men both decided to plead not guilty to the felony charges against them.
While it was believed that a young woman accompanying them, the girlfriend of one man and sister to the other, would also be charged, the judge told prosecutors that there wasn't enough evidence against her. The two men did not fare so well and have been ordered to remain in jail in lieu of $500,000 bond.
