Former Dance Show Judge Faces Sex Crime Charges

After having gained fame on a popular dance contest show, fans were shocked to learn about the past of one of its favorite judges.
The judge, who is also known as a famous hip-hop choreographer, was charged earlier this year with having sex with an underage girl almost twenty years ago. The state prosecutor's office had enough evidence to move forward with eight felony charges, prompting the man to plead no contest in court last week.
As a result of his plea, the judge decided to drop seven of the charges, leaving him with just one felony count of having sex with a minor.
After reviewing the details of his case, the judge sentenced him to 270 days behind bars, as well as five years of probation. Once he leaves jail, he will also need to complete 52 weeks of sexual offender counseling and must not approach any teenage girls unless another adult is present.
