In the city of San Luis Obispo, a 25 year old boy is in jail after officers connected him to a string of burglaries and a sexual assault. In the latter half of August, authorities responded to an interrupted residential burglary. The suspect had left the home with money, jewelry and other possessions. While police investigated, they found fingerprints, which led them to the 15 year old who had a no-bail probation violation in Los Angles.
After failing to locate the boy, police received a report that a woman was sexually assaulted in her residence. Evidence collected from the scene led officers to believe it was the same suspect who had committed earlier burglaries.
The boy then burglarized two homes a few days later and after an intensive investigation, police were able to find the boy and arrest him on Sunday evening. Officers found the stolen property from the burglaries in the boy's possession and booked him.
He has been charged with 6 counts of burglary, false imprisonment, rape and kidnapping.
