Judge May Dismiss Anna Nicole Smith Case

In Los Angeles, Superior Court Judge Robert Perry is said to have spoken to attorneys outside the presence of a jury on Monday. Allegedly, the judge said that out of the 622 felony jury trials he has presided over in the last 18 years, he can only think of three prosecutors that put their careers before justice.

While looking at the prosecutors, the judge said he believed the District Attorney's Office decided to launch a case simply because it had a dead celebrity and low level misdemeanors.

On Tuesday, it was said that defense attorneys would ask the judge to dismiss charges in the felony case that is just days away from its closing arguments.

Some of the criminal charges include prescribing, dispensing and administering controlled substances to Anna Nicole Smith, who was a known drug addict.

The defendants in the case, Dr. Khristine Eroshevich, Dr. Sandeep Kapoor and Howard K. Stern also face felony conspiracy charges.
