Police say that a 29-year-old woman is facing felonyhit and run charges along with pending vehicular battery and DUI charges.

According to law enforcement officers, Christina Clemens was driving under the influence when she suddenly veered off the road and hit 44-year-old pedestrian, Tamara Sanner.  At this time, Sanner is fighting life-threatening injuries from the accident.

Officers say that the pedestrian was hit while walking alongside Main Street early Thursday morning.  She had to be airlifted to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls due to the severity of her injuries.
