Police Capture Murder Suspect

In Los Angeles, police report that they have arrested a fugitive who was wanted for killing a woman during a burglary and setting her residence on fire.  The fugitive, 34-year-old Omar Armando Loera, was placed under arrest in Mexico on Tuesday.

Officers said that Loera would most likely be transferred to United States authorities on Tuesday evening.

Loerao, a parolee, was wanted for the killing of Chere Osmanhodzic.  She was found stabbed to death on July 24^th in her burned down home in North Hollywood, California.  An arrest warrant was issued for Loera on September 16^th.

Detectives with the homicide unit said they used several leads to determine that Loera was staying in Mexico and U.S. marshals and Mexican authorities were looking to locate him there.
