Police in the city of Los Angeles say that three time NBA All-Star Frank Francis was recently placed under arrest for public drunkenness in the Los Angeles International Airport.
According to a spokesman with the airport, Albert Rodriguez, Francis was placed under arrest at 11:30 PM on Thursday because he was impaired, combative toward airport staff and unable to care for himself. Police report that the arrest occurred in the Terminal 7 lobby, which is near the United Airlines ticketing counter.
After his arrest, Francis posted $10,000 bail and was released around 3:30 AM on Friday. He is scheduled to appear in court on November 5th to answer to his misdemeanor charges.
Francis played nine seasons with Orlando, Houston and New York. He was an All-Star in 2002, 2003 and 2004.
