Russell Brand Will Not Be Charged with Battery

The Associated Press reported this week that police from Los Angeles will most likely forgo filing charges against comedian Russell Brand.  Not too long ago, Brand was involved in a fight with a photographer while at the Los Angeles International Airport.

On Wednesday, the comedian met with local prosecutors who said they would not pursue charges.  This information was made public by attorney's spokesman Frank Mateljan this week.

In September, Brand was placed under arrest while traveling with his fiancée, singer Katy Perry.  He had been facing a misdemeanor charge of simple battery.  The entire incident was caught on videotape because the couple was swarmed by paparazzi as they entered a Delta Air Lines terminal.  Brand can be seen swatting at a photographer and hitting his camera on the tape.
