A man too stubborn to take the advice of a deputy found himself booked with a DUI last week. A concerned employee of a bar in St. Petersburg called the sheriff's office to report that Mark Roy Marshall, 40, had walked out extremely intoxicated. A deputy responded to the call, advised Marshall not to drive home, and even called a taxi for him.
The Collier County deputy watched Marshall ride away in the cab only to return five minutes later, climb into his own truck and attempt to drive away. Marshall was immediately arrested and booked into the Naples Jail Center with a DUI charge.
