In California, news sources are reporting that an arrest warrant has been issued for Lindsay Lohan. The warrant was issued for Lindsay after she failed to appear at a Los Angeles court for a mandatory hearing.
Lindsay's defense lawyer asserts that the actress could not make it to court because she was stuck in France due to a stolen passport. The judge presiding over the matter set Lohan's bail at $100,000.
At this time, it is reported that the actress is in France for Cannes Film Festival. However, she is due back in the United States this coming Friday as she will be obtaining a new passport from the U.S. Embassy in France this week. Still, Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel gave little mercy.
She said, "If she wanted to be here, it looks to the court that she could have been here." Revel also revoked Lohan's probation and barred her from consuming alcoholic beverages. The actress was also ordered to submit to random drug tests and must wear an alcohol-monitoring bracelet.
