Barstow police officers recently arrested a man who was driving with more than 100 grams of marijuana in his vehicle.
The officers decided to pull the driver over after noticing the scent of marijuana coming from his vehicle. The driver, 23-year-old Salvador Gonzalez, admitted to police that he had marijuana in the vehicle.
Upon searching the vehicle police found a joint, which they thought that was the source of the smell. But officers eventually found a safe in the back of the Gonzalez's car containing more marijuana, a stolen loaded handgun, and $600 cash.
Gonzalez was arrested and charged with possession and transportation of marijuana for sale.
