Six Arrested After Lakers' Victory

In East L.A. County, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said that it had to arrest six individuals on Friday evening. The arrests occurred after the Lakers won the championship over the Boston Celtics. Of the charges filed, two included felony assault on an officer.
The Department had to send 300 officers to East Los Angeles. The police on the scene were patrol deputies and specialized unites, like mounted enforcement details, gang enforcement teams and even undercover detectives.
Two people were arrested for assault and three were arrested on charges of failure to disperse. One person was arrested for allegedly harming a Sheriff's Department horse and another was arrested for obstructing an officer form performing his duties. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said that one deputy suffered injuries while on duty.
