On Sunday, it is reported that a SUV driver was arrested for hit and run. According to authorities, the driver hit a sedan and then fled instead of stopping.
At 7:06 AM, the California Highway Patrol was called to the scene of the auto accident. When they arrived, they saw that the sedan had flipped upside down. Authorities were uncertain how many people were in the sedan or the SUV, but they say that no one in the sedan suffered injuries.
As a result of the accident, the CHP has to close the Orangethorpe Avenue off-ramp on 57 North Freeway from 7:30 until 8 AM. After the accident occurred, the SUV driver allegedly exited Orangethorpe Avenue and headed west. The driver then got onto the 57 South Freeway before authorities were able to make an arrest.
