In Concord, New Hampshire, a woman that escaped a lethal 1989 apartment fire told police that the California man charged with murder in the deaths of her four friends confessed to her on the night of the fire. The survivor, Elizabeth Kennedy, said the man recently charged told her, "I did a good job, didn't I?"
This Thursday, Kennedy said that David McLeod made the comment to her after a fire killed a couple, their baby and his 12 year old daughter. Police placed McLeod under arrest on Wednesday in Sacramento, California.
At this time, police are not saying what led to the McLeod's arrest. However, they did say that he was a suspect all along as other residents in the apartment complex said McLeod had grudges against men who lived in the building. They said that McLeod believed his girlfriend had relationships with the men and that he bragged about committing arson.
