Employee Embezzled $1.6 Million from Boss

Recently, police in Los Angeles claimed that a bookkeeper embezzled money from her boss. While keeping accounts for a Southern California cement products firm, it is alleged that Holly Daunielle Martin-Campbell stole $1.6 million from her boss. She then spent the stolen funds on a lavish lifestyle.
On Tuesday, Martin-Campbell was arrested for felony charges of grand theft and forgery. Now, the 37 year old will face up to 20 years of prison time if she is convicted.
According to Los Angeles County sheriff's Detective Christopher Derry, Martin-Campbell used the embezzled funds to purchase meals at high-end restaurants, to buy concert tickets and to purchase a Ducati motorcycles for her husband, a SUV for herself and a home within a gated community in Hollywood Park.
Police say that while working as an administrative secretary at Blue Daisy Cement Products, Martin-Campbell committed the aforementioned crimes.
