In Los Angeles, a sex offender received a sentence of 110 years for the murder and sexual assault of 15 year old Alyssa Gomez. Prior to her death, Gomez had run away from her home and was a foster child who went by the name of Raven. In May, 38 year old Gilton Beltrand Pitre was convicted for her murder.
Reports indicate that Pitre was only out of jail for four days before he strangled Gomez in room at the Olive Motel on Sunset Boulevard. Gomez's body was found outside of El Cid Restaurant wrapped in a comforter from the Motel.
While investigating the murder, police discovered that Pire had checked into the Motel under his own name. Footage from the Motel also showed Pitre carrying something large wrapped in a comforter out of his room and throwing it into the trunk of his vehicle.
In the 90s, Pitre was convicted for raping his roommate and was ordered to serve time in jail.
