Fontana Checkpoint Nets 3 Arrests

Last week's checkpoint resulted in 3 arrests for the Fontana Police Department.
The checkpoint was set up on Cherry just south of Live Oak Avenues from 7pm Thursday until 2:30 am Friday.
Forty vehicles were stopped over the course of the night. In addition to the 3 arrests, 15 citations were issued for driving without a license or driving with a suspended license, and 8 vehicles were impounded.
Of the three arrests, one person was arrested for
DUI, one was arrested for resisting arrest, and one was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
The checkpoint was paid for by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
