Teen Arrested in Connection with 14 Redlands Burglaries

The Redlands Police Department arrested a teenager they believe is responsible for 14 residential burglaries that began in January.
Investigators were lead to the suspect, 18-year-old Dylan Michael Meier, after recovering evidence while investigating two residential burglaries near Naomi Street and East Palm Avenue. The department's Multiple Enforcement Team was able to locate Meier at a bus stop on Redlands Boulevard and Orange Street, and brought him into police custody. At the time of his arrest, Meier had property he recently had stolen in his possession.
Investigators were able to link Meier to 14 residential burglaries in Redlands between January 6 and February 12. Police say he would steal property, such as jewelry and collectable coins, and then resale them to pawn shops and collectors. The money he earned towards the sale of the stolen goods was used to feed his heroin habit.
Since his arrest Meier has been charged with burglary and possession of stolen property. He is currently being held at the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino in lieu of $75,000 bail.
