Two people were arrested last weekend on suspicion of driving under the influence at a Fontana DUI/driver's license checkpoint.
Of the 1,419 vehicles to go through the checkpoint, 178 drivers were stopped and 92 vehicles were impounded. 110 citations were also issued over the course of the night, including quite a few for driving without a license. In addition to the DUI arrests, seven people were arrested for outstanding warrants.
The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
