Teenager Crashes into Tree and Gets Arrested for DUI

A Bakersfield teenager driving under the influence crashed into a tree early Sunday morning, causing injury to himself and his four passengers.
Pedro Calixto, 18, lost control of his car around 3:30 AM on Deacon Avenue near Edison Highway. The driver's side of his vehicle smashed into the tree, causing serious injuries to one of the passengers, 18-year-old Katherin Foster.
Investigators from the California Highway Patrol reported that the rest of the passengers received only minor injuries. Calixton was brought to jail and remained there until Sunday on two charges of felony DUI.
At this time the crash will continue to be investigated by the CHP.
