A shooting that led to a DUI arrest is being arrested by the Oklahoma County deputies. At 10:07 PM near the Memorial Road-Hiwassee Road intersection deputies were called for a shooting, the caller saying that a man had shot himself in the head. However, when they were on their way, deputies received another call that the man, Cash Mayer, 25, had gotten into a car and was driving away.
When police finally caught up with Mayer they saw a wound on the right side of his head which was later determined to be just a graze. They also discovered an open container of alcohol in his car, which led them to believe that he was driving under the influence.
Mayer was taken to the hospital to be stapled up before he was brought to the Oklahoma County jail on suspicion of DUI charges, as well as transporting an open container of alcohol. He is currently being held on a $2,500 bond.
The authorities are still investigating whether the shot was intentional or accidental.
