This week Monday, well-known pop singer of Girlicious, Natalie Mejia, pled not guilty to felony charges of cocaine possession. In March, Mejia was arrested in Glendale.
In the weeks following her arrest, the 22-year-old had entered a similar plea. However, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney's office said that the arraignment on Monday meant that prosecutors had enough evidence for the singer to stand trial.
In 2008, Mejia was a contestant on the CW reality show "Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious". She beat out other contestants and became a member of the all girl group.
Peter Asecio and Mejia were arrested on March 9th after he was stopped for speeding before getting onto the Ventura Freeway. During the traffic stop, they discovered his driver's license was suspended and search the vehicle. That is when they found small amounts of cocaine in Mejia's purse.
